Our Projects
We are a Watford-based Community Interest Company supporting young people up to the age of 25 into employment or training (NEET), particularly those living in areas facing higher levels of disadvantage.
We work closely with young people who face barriers to work and training, including low confidence, limited work experience, disrupted education, financial pressures and lack of access to networks. Our focus is on providing practical, local and personalised support that helps young people move forward at their own pace.
Our work is rooted in the communities we serve and shaped by the realities young people face in parts of Watford where opportunities are often hardest to access.
Support for the Next Step
We provide targeted training and employment support to help young people take their next steps towards work, education or training.
Our support includes:
one-to-one guidance and mentoring,
employability and life skills workshops,
help with CVs, applications and interview preparation,
links to local training providers, employers and work experience opportunities,
confidence-building and goal-setting support.
We focus on individual progression. We recognise that for some young people the first step may be building confidence and stability before moving into formal employment or training.
Working with Young People
Bridge The Gap Hub CIC works with young people in Watford who:
are struggling to get into employment or training
are struggling with reading and writing
need empowerment, skills and confidence
need work ready training i.e Microsoft 365
live in wards experiencing higher levels of deprivation,
may feel disconnected from mainstream services,
want support that is practical, respectful and locally relevant.
Our approach is inclusive and non-judgemental. We start where young people are, not where they’re expected to be.
Our Approach
We believe that sustainable progress comes from combining:
personalised support, not a one-size-fits-all programme,
local partnerships, connecting young people to real opportunities in Watford,
early and preventative intervention, helping young people before challenges become long-term barriers.
We work collaboratively with schools, youth services, community organisations, training providers and employers to create clearer pathways into opportunity.
Our Impact
By supporting young people who are NEET, we aim to:
improve confidence, motivation and employability,
support progression into education, training or work,
reduce the risk of long-term unemployment and disengagement,
strengthen links between young people and local employers.
As a CIC, all surplus generated through our activities is reinvested into supporting young people and communities in Watford.
